A crust eaten in peace is better than a banquet partaken in anxiety.

I don’t know which came first, the rose or the cocktail, but they
are both perfect.

1 ounce brandy
1 ounce dry vermouth
1 ounce fresh orange juice
2 dashes of grenadine
2 dashes of Simple Syrup (optional, for a sweeter drink)
½ ounce port
Rose petal (organically grown), for garnish
Shake all the ingredients except the port with ice and strain into
a chilled cocktail glass. Float the port on top. Garnish with the
rose petal.

A hungry stomach seldoms scorns plain food.
