Holiday Sprouts
2 lbs. Brussels sprouts
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 cup walnuts, chopped coarsely
3 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. nutmeg
Remove outer leaves of sprouts and cut an ‘x’ into stem to speed cooking. Steam sprouts 15 minutes or until tender.
Saute mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes or until golden. Add walnuts and nutmeg and cook for 1 minute. Toss with sprouts just before serving
