Sensational Spaghetti
Forget the tomato sauce. This is spaghetti to love!
½ cup (1 stick) butter 120 ml
1½ teaspoons minced garlic 7 ml
1 (12 ounce) package thin spaghetti 340 g
1 cup grated parmesan cheese 240 ml
1 pint whipping cream .5 kg
1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes 5 ml
10-12 strips bacon, fried crisp, crumbled
• Melt butter and saute garlic in large skillet until
slightly brown. Cook spaghetti according to package
directions and drain.
• Add spaghetti, parmesan cheese, cream, parsley flakes,
and ½ teaspoon (2 ml) each of salt and pepper and
mix well.
• Spoon into buttered 2-quart (2 L) baking dish. Cover
and bake at 325° (162° C) just until warm, about
15 minutes.
• Uncover and sprinkle crumbled bacon over casserole.
