Ingredients:
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg and 1 egg yolk (save white)
1 c. almond paste
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Coconut
Chopped nuts
Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients thoroughly. Press in 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 400 degree oven. Beat 3 egg whites until stiff. Add 2 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat at low speed 1 cup almond paste, 1 cup sugar, 3 egg yolks, lemon juice. fold in egg whites. Spread over partially baked crust. Sprinkle with coconut and nuts. Bake 30 minutes at 325 degree oven. Cut in squares.
