Ma's Lentil-Ham Soup
1 lb dry lentils (about 2 1/3 cups) 1 1/2 c chopped carrot 1 c chopped onion 1 c chopped celery 1/4 c snipped parsley 1/4 t dried marjoram, crushed 1/8 t pepper 1 meaty ham bone (about 1 1/2 pounds) 7 c water
1. Place all ingredients in crock pot with ham bone on top. 2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 9 to 11 hours. 3. Lift ham bone from soup. Remove meat from bone; chop meat and return to soup.
