Griddle Cakes

1 cup sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
1 Egg -- well beaten
1 1/2 tablespoons butter -- melted

Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, sift again.
Combine milk and egg and add to flour. Stir only until smooth. Add
butter.

Bake on hot, well-greased griddle.
Serve hot with Log Cabin Syrup.
Makes 12 cakes.
